The Creative Journey
While my earlier years were focused on realistic drawings – which you can still explore in my legacy portfolio at claudiasartwork.com – I have since unleashed my true creative voice.
Today, I have unleashed my true creative voice. My focus has evolved into creative realism, where I paint and draw directly from the imagination. Through free-form intuitive drawings, layered imagery, and inspired portraits, my goal is to capture a transcendent presence rather than just a replica of reality.
The Artistic Vision
My ideas arrive in quiet moments and unexpected ways. Sometimes a piece begins with a fleeting feeling or a song; other times, it starts with an image that appears out of nowhere. For me, creating is a gift and a lifelong journey. It requires a deep connection to the inner self, resulting in art that feels both intuitive and authentic. Ultimately, my work is an invitation to envision something brighter, to dream a better dream, to live from the soul, and to reconnect with yourself.
The Medium & Craft
To bring these visions to life, I use professional-grade coloured pencils known for their exceptional lightfastness, ensuring each piece lasts a lifetime. My surface of choice is hot-pressed Fabriano Artistico (100% cotton) or similar archival papers.
Every now and then, I love to introduce other high-quality media like soft pastel or PanPastel, and I look forward to exploring more experimental media in the future.
